Problem 61
Q

A milliammeter reads 35 mA full scale. It consists of a 0.200.20-Ω\Omega resistor in parallel with a 3333-Ω\Omega galvanometer. How can you change this ammeter to a voltmeter giving a full-scale reading of 25 V without taking the ammeter apart? What will be the sensitivity (Ω/V)(\Omega\textrm{/V}) of your voltmeter?

A
  1. 710  Ω710 \; \Omega
  2. 29  Ω/V29 \; \Omega\textrm{/V}
