This is Giancoli Answers with Mr. Dychko. The speed of the wave is frequency times its wavelength and you can divide both sides by f and solve for λ. So, the wavelength of the sound is its speed, 343 meters per second divided by its frequency of 282 hertz which is 1.22 meters.
